How I Discovered The Emotion Code

The Emotion Code entered my life like a gift from angels. One morning I prayed to the universe for help with regular and expensive Chiropractor appointments, for insomnia and pain relief. The very next day, an email slid into my inbox from a radio show in the U.S.A. I had never heard of or subscribed to this show.

“We have a guest speaker today, a Chiropractor who is going to teach you how to not need to go to the Chiropractor!”

I tuned into the discussion with Dr Bradley Nelson about his new book The Emotion Code. He developed a technique to help patients release old, dysfunctional muscular patterns and stay in alignment. Through a desire to really heal his patients, studying many modalities including Kinesiology, he found muscle testing and the release of emotions causing muscle tensions were extremely effective for holistic healing.

All the listeners received a free copy of his book. I immediately downloaded, read and began practising The Emotion Code. It was incredible to feel a pleasant, subtle, life-changing shift in energy, lightening my emotional load. When tuning into acute pain, it could be only a matter of seconds or minutes before it dissolved, depending on how many emotions were stored in that spot.

I practised The Emotion Code on myself for 3 years before developing the confidence to share it with friends, family, colleagues and others. Asking the subconscious for answers is amazingly simple, yet tricky in learning to trust the responses coming through without conscious intervention. For example, you may know you feel angry, yet there could be other layers of emotions your subconscious presents before anger is the priority.

Experience teaches you to trust your subconscious mind like a supercomputer that has recorded every moment of your life.

I expanded practising The Emotion Code on others while working in a beautiful aromatherapy store in Sydney Airport. The aromas created a sanctuary for emotionally vulnerable customers, sharing stories of visiting sick relatives, saying goodbye to loved ones or work stressors. The feedback was wonderful.

Then I progressed to integrating The Emotion Code into sessions with massage clients. It made the job a lot easier to clear emotion from tight muscles or trigger points, rather than repetitive stroking or pressure holds. I know when to use The Emotion Code if a knot has not changed after a few strokes. Sensing blocked energy is very subtle, yet the client can feel the difference when the muscle instantly releases. They are usually amazed at how quick the technique works and the lightness they feel. A common remark is “I feel high”!

Clients from older generations are often amazed that emotions played any role in their physical tension at all. The Emotion Code is now a tool I use daily for keeping myself calm and non-reactive to stressful situations. It has been part of my life for 11 years and I’m forever grateful for its introduction. If only the world knew how they could heal themselves with a fridge magnet!
